Gerry has more than 35 years of experience in corporate and marketing communications, public affairs, government relations and crisis and issues management.
In the early ‘80s, he entered the realm of telemarketing, having joined C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. in California, USA, and was responsible for markets located in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. He then returned to Philippines to join the local advertising agency, Pacifica until he was enticed with an invitation to head of Marketing & Advertising Sales at Nova Communications prior to joining GMA Television Network’s Merchandising and Program Production team. He then moved to Singapore to be the first Filipino Senior Regional Manager at BASF South East Asia where he established and supervised the German chemical giant’s corporate communications network in twenty countries, spanning the Indian sub-continent to the Australia-New Zealand region.
Gerry is currently responsible for management and business development for IMG and serves as senior counsel, working with colleagues on strategy development while overseeing the firm’s business portfolios.
Gerry is a member of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, American Chamber of Commerce, and a director of Operation Compassion Philippines.
